had begun to use a new tactic - they delivered goods and supplies to remote villages, buying the loyalty of the inhabitants. He decided to do the same and ordered a shipment of supplies, but it was lost en route somewhere on the Savrip island. Gam asked the operatives to find the supplies and return it to him. He said that the shipment had to be delivered by a droid, and that the best way to find the shipment was to find the droid. , informed the operatives that he was tasked with delivering spice from Kessel | KesselPlanet |
to the Oradam village on the planet Ord Mantell for government representative Gismel Gam. He was unable to deliver the shipment due to a protocol failure, causing the starship to crash - but it became clear to the operatives that the starship crashed due to interference from jamming beacons which Sergeant Travi Pott asked them to destroy. He tried to deliver the spice on foot, but was attacked by Savrips and returned to the crash site. When the operatives asked DK-9 why Gam had ordered the spice in the first place, the droid could only comment that the shipment was filled under "village relief". The operatives realized that Gam had illegally ordered the spice for his personal gain, possibly using government funds to do so. They ordered DK-9 to destroy the shipment, which he did, after which the droid shut down.When the operatives returned to the village and told Gam that they destroyed the spice, he was furious. He said the supplies were for the villagers indeed - spice was the only thing that made them stupid enough to support the Republic. The operatives left, unsure what else they could or should do. |
